Jane Cresswell is a Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Science at the School of Nursing and Allied Health, Birmingham Newman University. She transitioned from full-time clinical practice to academia to develop the university's Paramedic Science BSc program. Previously, she worked as an Advanced Paramedic, Clinical Team Mentor, and Critical Care Paramedic with the West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) and Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (TAAS).
Her career spans over two decades, including roles as a Helicopter Emergency Services Paramedic and Practice Placement Facilitator. Jane holds a Master of Science in Advanced Critical Care Practice from the University of Warwick (2017). Professional memberships include HCPC registration and affiliation with the College of Paramedics.
