Jane Behre is a PhD candidate in the College of Information at the University of Maryland, College Park, and holds the position of Research & Teaching Fellow at McKeldin Library. Her academic journey includes an MLIS from the University of Maryland and a BA from Barnard College.

She examines digital literacy education, particularly for English language learners, and explores how public libraries advance health justice during crises.
Research Trends: Jane’s recent work highlights marginalized groups’ information struggles, such as LGBTQ+ youth and COVID long-haulers, while advocating for inclusive digital literacy programs. Her studies underscore the role of libraries in bridging health information gaps.
