Tiffany Curtin is a Lecturer at the School of Information, San José State University, where she teaches INFO 287 – Seminar in Information Science with a focus on Adult Literacy. She is also the Adult Literacy Specialist at Douglas County Libraries in Colorado, bringing extensive professional experience in public libraries, adult education, and literacy advocacy.

Ms. Curtin has contributed significantly to literacy initiatives, serving on the board of the Literacy Coalition of Colorado and representing her library in the Coalition of Care, a network focused on homelessness prevention. She previously co-chaired the Special Populations & Issues Interest Group with the Colorado Association of Libraries.
She has prior experience in reference services at the Auraria Campus Library (University of Colorado) and Denver Public Libraries. From 2006 to 2009, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Namibia, where she taught English as a Second Language and managed a school and community library, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to global education and literacy.
Her professional background also includes teaching language arts at various high schools and adult education programs in Colorado. She is actively engaged in public library service and community development, aligning her academic instruction with real-world library practice.
