Jan de Jonge is a Full Professor of Work and Sports Psychology at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), affiliated with the Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences faculty and the Human Performance Management department. He also holds visiting professorships at Loughborough University Business School (UK) and an adjunct position at the University of South Australia. His academic background includes a PhD in Occupational Health Psychology from Maastricht University.
His research focuses on job stress, recovery, employee performance, creativity, burnout, and athlete performance. Key areas include the DISC-R Model, sustainable employability, and work-home resource dynamics. Collaborations span institutions in Germany, the UK, Australia, Japan, and beyond.
