Jan-Walter De Neve

Jan-Walter De Neve is a tenured full Professor and founding Director of the Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) Program at the Division of Global Health Management and Policy, School of Public Health, San Diego State University. His research focuses on global health economics, human capital development, and health systems improvement in low- and middle-income countries.

Grants: He serves as principal investigator on grants from the European Commission, German Research Foundation, World Health Organization, Harvard University, and University of Heidelberg.

Labs and Teams: Prior to SDSU, he led research groups at the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health, Faculty of Medicine and University Hospital, University of Heidelberg, and worked at a Johns Hopkins affiliated hospital in Istanbul, Türkiye.
