Jan-Emmanuel De Neve is a Professor of Economics and Behavioural Science at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and Director of the Wellbeing Research Centre. He holds affiliations with the London School of Economics (CEP) and is a faculty associate in Oxford's Departments of Economics and Politics. His research focuses on behavioral economics, public policy, and human wellbeing, with contributions to understanding the links between happiness, income, productivity, and economic growth. He co-authored the seminal textbook Wellbeing: Science and Policy and guides global wellbeing initiatives like the World Wellbeing Movement.
Education: PhD from LSE, Fulbright Scholar at Harvard. Awards include the inaugural Ruut Veenhoven Award. He advises governments and corporations such as Unilever and Indeed, where he oversees the world’s largest workplace wellbeing study (17M+ surveys).
