Jan Taubenheim

Jan Taubenheim is a post-doctoral Researcher at the Institute for Experimental Medicine (IEM) of Kiel University (CAU). He works under the supervision of Christoph Kaleta in the Medical Systems Biology group, focusing on metabolic modeling of the gut microbiome and its interaction with the human host.

Research Interests: His work explores how metabolic exchanges between microbiome and host contribute to Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). Key areas include Transcriptomics, Statistics, Metabolic modeling, Metabolomics, microbial community modeling, and data integration.
