معرفی
Jan Sbierski is a Royal Society University Research Fellow at the School of Mathematics, University of Edinburgh, where he actively contributes to the Analysis Group and Maxwell Centre through research and academic leadership.
His research centers on general relativity, partial differential equations, and Lorentzian geometry, with significant focus on singularity formation inside black holes, geometric structure analysis, and the strong cosmic censorship conjecture regarding global uniqueness in Einstein's equations. He also investigates high-frequency wave packets in hyperbolic PDEs, bridging theoretical mathematics and gravitational physics.
Scientific recognition includes:
- Royal Society University Research Fellowship
He currently mentors PhD candidates and is accepting new students for autumn 2025 through Edinburgh's analysis PhD programme, emphasizing rigorous mathematical training in relativistic systems.
His collaborative work is anchored in the Analysis Group and Maxwell Centre, fostering interdisciplinary projects in mathematical physics and geometric analysis.
