Jan Markus Brand

Jan Markus Brand is a Researcher at the Professorship for Historical Musicology, part of the Institute of Musicology and Music Education at Justus Liebig University Giessen. His work focuses on the analysis of historical musical repertoires, particularly from the 15th and 16th centuries, and he explores intersections between music and political contexts, including music during the National Socialism era. He has held this position since August 2020.
