Jan Maltby

Jan Maltby is a Lecturer at York Business School, teaching Law since September 2020. She holds a BA in Jurisprudence from Oxford University and practiced as a solicitor for two decades before transitioning to academia.

Her teaching focuses on Land Law and Equity and Trusts at undergraduate level, and Property Law and Practice, Wills and Administration of Estates, and Solicitors' Accounts at postgraduate level. She also provides career support through CV development, job search guidance, and interview preparation.

Research interests center on Knowledge Exchange between legal practice and education, with emphasis on embedding employability skills into law curricula to enhance student career readiness.
