Jan Louise Jones, Ph.D., is a Program Coordinator and Senior Lecturer in the Hospitality & Tourism Management Program at the University of New Haven's Pompea College of Business. She holds a Ph.D. in Recreation and Leisure Management from the University of Connecticut and dual master's and bachelor's degrees in Sociology/International Studies from Acadia University, Canada. Her expertise spans sustainable tourism development, hospitality management, and international travel industry challenges.
Dr. Jones has conducted research and served on scientific committees across 14 countries. Her publications focus on voluntourism, destination branding, and collaborative tourism strategies. She actively contributes to media discussions on post-pandemic travel trends, sustainability in hospitality, and economic impacts on the tourism sector.
