Jan-Hendrik Passoth

Jan-Hendrik Passoth serves as Professor of Sociology of Technology and heads the Science & Technology Studies group at the European New School for Digital Studies, European University Viadrina, Frankfurt/Oder, Germany.

His academic background includes a doctorate in Sociology from the University of Hamburg, preceded by studies in sociology, political science, and computer science.

Research interests center on:

• Digital infrastructures and democratic processes
• Social dimensions of software development
• Critical design methodologies for technological intervention
