Jan Griebel

Jan Griebel is a Researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Surface Modification (IOM) in Leipzig, Germany, where he leads the cross-departmental unit "Material Characterization and Analytics" since 2021. He oversees analytical services including NMR/EPR spectroscopy and chromatography. Previously, he held scientific roles at IOM (2015–2020) and Universität Leipzig (2002–2014), where he completed his Diploma in Chemistry.

His research integrates analytical chemistry with materials science, focusing on:

• Advanced spectroscopy (NMR, EPR) and chromatography techniques
• Surface modification and nanomaterial characterization
• Environmental pollutant degradation
• Biomedical applications of photodynamic therapies
