Prof. Jan Cremers is Professor for Building Technology and Integrated Architecture at the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences Faculty of Architecture and Design. As Dean of this faculty since 2017, he leads academic initiatives while conducting research in sustainable building technology, membrane structures, and energy-efficient urban housing.

His research explores dynamic building envelopes, solar-integrated construction, and compact courtyard housing typologies for high-density urbanism. Recent publications focus on these themes, including the DFG-funded "Compact Courtyard Housing" project.
Scientific recognition includes the TUM Doctoral Award, Marschall Foundation Award, and Architectural Award for Building-Integrated Solar Technology. He has led the Solar Decathlon Europe 2010 German participation and continues to influence sustainable design education through his teaching activities.
As an expert in membrane construction, he contributes to real-world labs like the EnSign project for climate-neutral campuses and maintains an active role through editorial work in the Journal of Facade Design & Engineering.
