Jan Allison Moore

Jan Allison Moore is a Professor and Academic Diversity Officer at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, affiliated with the Department of Communication Disorders in the College of Education. She holds a PhD from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (1994), an MS from Purdue University (1983), and a BSE from the University of Central Arkansas (1980).

Her research focuses on speech production in children with cochlear implants and aural rehabilitation across ages. She teaches courses in aural rehabilitation, audiology, phonetics, and professional multicultural issues.

Professional engagements include roles in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), Nebraska Speech and Hearing Association, and the Academy of Rehabilitative Audiology (Treasurer). She is involved with the UNK RiteCare Telepractice Clinic, providing clinical services.
