Jan Albert Kuivenhoven

Prof. Jan Albert Kuivenhoven is an Associate Professor and Principal Investigator at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Medical Sciences, Department of Pediatrics, Molecular Genetics. His research focuses on lipoprotein metabolism, atherosclerosis, and hepatic steatosis, with particular emphasis on genetic and metabolic factors influencing cardiovascular health.

He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Amsterdam (1996), specializing in genetic factors contributing to HDL cholesterol levels.
