Dr. Jamie Trost is a Lecturer of Statistics at Brown University's Department of Cognitive, Linguistic, and Psychological Sciences. With roots in cognitive psychology and a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame, she specializes in integrating data science education into statistical methodologies and has a strong focus on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
Her research bridges cognitive psychology and statistics education, emphasizing adaptive teaching strategies. She serves as a statistical consultant for graduate students in the CoPsy department and is affiliated with Brown's Data Science Institute and Sheridan Center for Teaching and Learning.
