- Teaching Areas: Fisheries Biology, Ichthyology, Wildlife Management, Conservation Biology, Evolution and Ecology, Environmental Biology.
Research Focus: The Roberts Lab investigates how droughts, floods, and human activities affect freshwater fisheries, with an emphasis on endangered species management, invasive species spread, and fish migration patterns. Their work combines field studies, genetic analysis, and statistical modeling to advance fisheries science and conservation biology.
Laboratory: The Coastal Plain Fisheries Lab primarily studies southeastern U.S. freshwater fishes, particularly in Georgia coastal plain rivers, addressing 21st-century conservation challenges through multidisciplinary approaches.
