Dr. Jamie Payton is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Temple University. His research focuses on pervasive computing systems for health/well-being, CS education, and broadening participation in computing. He leads initiatives like the STARS Computing Corps (50+ institutions) and NSF-funded REU Sites in pervasive computing and smart health. His work emphasizes service-learning, equity, and culturally relevant pedagogy.
