Jamie O. Lo

Jamie O. Lo, M.D., M.C.R. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Department of Urology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), a Core Scientist at the Oregon National Primate Research Center (ONPRC), and adjunct faculty in the College of Public Health at the University of Georgia. Her work integrates clinical obstetrics, reproductive research, and translational toxicology.

Her work bridges reproductive toxicology, obstetrics, and developmental biology to understand mechanisms of exposure-related complications.

Analysis of her 15 most recent publications reveals dominant themes in prenatal cannabinoid exposure (THC/methamphetamine), placental health, and iron metabolism. Her research consistently employs rhesus macaque models to isolate biological mechanisms, with strong emphasis on translational applications for neonatal outcomes. Key trends include dose-response relationships in substance exposure, sex-specific developmental effects, and multi-organ impacts on pulmonary, cardiac, and neurological systems.
