Dr. Jamie McGowan is a Lecturer in Genetics at the School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science, University College Dublin. With an interdisciplinary background in Biology and Computer Science, their research focuses on bioinformatics, evolutionary genomics, and microbial eukaryotes, particularly protists and fungi. They previously held a postdoctoral position at the Earlham Institute, contributing to the Darwin Tree of Life Project.
