Jamie Glisson is a PhD Candidate and Tutor in Social Anthropology at The University of Edinburgh, focusing on religion, environment, and ethics in Norway and Scotland. Their doctoral research investigates how Norwegian folk high schools use Lutheran rituals and international study trips to shape students' embodied value formations regarding global relationships and climate change.

Jamie’s research integrates multimodal ethnographic methods (film, photography, storytelling) to study intersections of religion, climate change, and international development. They explore how Lutheran rituals and service projects in Norwegian education inform perspectives on consumerism, embodiment, and global ethics.
Key grants include the ERASMUS+ Traineeship Grant (2021), Atelier grant (2020), and Templeton Foundation fellowship (2017). Jamie has taught courses like Climate Change and Social Life and organized the University of Edinburgh’s Dismantling Oppressive Structures in Anthropology conference (2020).
