Dr. Jamie Dessart is a Professor of English at Waynesburg University. She holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Kentucky, alongside a B.S. in Communications from the University of Tennessee and an M.A. from Eastern Michigan University. Her research interests bridge medieval literature and modern pop culture, focusing on trans-structuralism in science fiction/fantasy, fandom studies, and gender theory. She actively mentors students at the PCA National Conference annually.
