James Yeck

James Yeck is the Associate Laboratory Director and Project Director for the Electron-Ion Collider at Brookhaven National Laboratory. He has over 30 years of experience in leading large-scale scientific projects, including roles such as Interim Project Director for DOE and NSF projects, Director General of the European Spallation Source, and Deputy Project Manager for NSLS-II.

• He served as DOE Project Manager for RHIC (Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider) and the US Large Hadron Collider.
• He directed the IceCube Neutrino Detector project and has chaired numerous advisory committees for major DOE/NSF initiatives.

As the lead lecturer for the DOE Project Leadership program since 2017, he contributes to training future scientific leaders. His work spans Accelerator Science, Particle Physics, and Project Management, focusing on advancing cutting-edge facilities like the Electron-Ion Collider.
