Dr. James Wilson is an Assistant Professor of Medieval History at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Arts, where he has been employed since September 2025. His academic trajectory includes postdoctoral positions at the University of Konstanz (Germany) and the University of Trier. He holds a PhD in History from Queen Mary University of London (2020), an MA from the University of Nottingham (2012), and a BA from Aberystwyth University (2011).
