James Way

James Way is an internationally acclaimed tenor and Visiting Professor at the Royal Academy of Music, where he serves as a performance coach. He also held the role of Head of Vocal Studies at Highgate School and completed a PgCert in Performing Arts Medicine at University College London. His work spans performance, education, and artistic direction, with a focus on interdisciplinary approaches combining theatre, dance, psychology, and elite sport.

Research interests include vocal performance optimization, performer health psychology, and the application of elite sport methodologies to artistic training. Notable engagements include collaborations with the Glyndebourne Opera, Berlin Staatsoper, and orchestras such as the Munich Philharmonic and Orchestre de Paris. His discography features recordings with Les Arts Florissants, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and the Gabrieli Consort.
