James Vose is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources, North Carolina State University (NC State), and part of the College of Natural Resources. He is co-leader of the Center for Integrated Forest Science, a partnership between NC State and the USDA Forest Service Southern Research Station, focusing on interdisciplinary research linking natural and social sciences to address forest management challenges. His research emphasizes ecohydrology, forest-climate interactions, fire ecology, and hemlock woolly adelgid impacts.
Education: B.S. (Southern Illinois University, 1982), M.S. (Northern Arizona University, 1984), Ph.D. (NC State, 1987).
