James Van Nostrand serves as Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Energy and Sustainable Development at West Virginia University College of Law. His work focuses on energy policy, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development, with particular attention to West Virginia's transition from a coal-dependent economy.
His research interests include Energy Law, Climate Change Policy, Utilities Regulation, Renewable Energy, and Sustainable Development.
