James T. Voyvodic is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology and an Associate Research Professor in Neurobiology at Duke University. He is a Core Faculty member of the Center for Brain Imaging and Analysis. His research focuses on neuroimaging techniques applied to neurological and psychiatric disorders, with a particular emphasis on pediatric epilepsy, schizophrenia, functional MRI (fMRI), and neurodevelopmental studies. His work integrates clinical and experimental approaches to understand brain connectivity and pathophysiological mechanisms.

Research Interests: Dr. Voyvodic’s expertise spans neuroimaging methodologies, including resting-state fMRI and task-based paradigms, to study disorders such as epilepsy, schizophrenia, and alcohol-related neurodevelopmental disruptions. He investigates brain network dynamics, synaptic development in autonomic systems, and the impact of interventions like repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on motor networks in dystonia. His work also explores translational applications in clinical neurology and psychiatry.
