James Scott Vandeventer

Dr James Scott Vandeventer is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainability at Manchester Metropolitan University, researching socioecological change through organizational geography and degrowth economics. As Principal Investigator of the British Academy/Leverhulme project 'Conceiving Sustainable Space', he examines sustainability integration in architectural design. He co-founded Management Educators Navigating Degrowth (MEND) and co-leads international research on post-growth housing futures.

Research Approach: Interdisciplinary ethnography blending organizational studies, human geography, and poststructuralist philosophy to analyze spatial dimensions of sustainability transitions.
