He holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Duke University and a master's from the US Army Graduate Program in Anesthesia Nursing (2000). His career includes service as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in special missions units and faculty roles at institutions like the Army Nurse Anesthesia Program, UNC-Greensboro, and the University of Arizona. His research interests focus on nurse anesthesia education, military healthcare, and advanced clinical practice.
