LTC Timothy Yourk serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the U.S. Army Graduate Program in Anesthesia Nursing (USAGPAN) at Baylor University and holds the operational role of Phase 2 Clinical Site Director at Tripler Army Medical Center.
His educational foundation includes a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from USAGPAN/Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Pittsburgh. Professional certifications encompass Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure from the Texas State Board of Nursing, plus national certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA).
Colonel Yourk's expertise centers on military anesthesia practice and nurse anesthesia education within combat-support medical systems. His work bridges clinical anesthesia delivery in high-stakes military environments with academic instruction for Army nurse anesthetists, emphasizing trauma response, battlefield anesthesia protocols, and military medical readiness training. The operational demands of his Tripler Army Medical Center directorship directly inform his clinical teaching methodology.
As Phase 2 Clinical Site Director, he oversees immersive clinical rotations where USAGPAN students manage anesthesia for complex surgical cases in a Level III trauma center serving active-duty personnel, veterans, and military families across the Pacific theater. His leadership ensures trainees meet stringent Army medical standards while adapting to austere operational environments.
