James Paul O'Neill

Professor James Paul O'Neill serves as Chair of ENT Surgery and Professor of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). He is actively engaged in research, clinical practice, and education within the Otolaryngology Department at RCSI's Education & Research Centre at Beaumont Hospital. His leadership extends internationally as Treasurer of the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies (IFHNOS).

Professor O'Neill's research focuses on head and neck oncology with particular expertise in thyroid cancer, skull base surgery, and cutaneous malignancies in immunosuppressed patients. He has made significant contributions to understanding prognostic markers in thyroid cancer, management of paragangliomas, and the impact of immunosuppression on skin cancer development in transplant recipients.
