James Ohene-Djan

James Ohene-Djan is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computing at Goldsmiths, University of London. He has over nine years of teaching experience in telecommunications, database systems, and electronic commerce. His current administrative roles include Department Senior Tutor and Schools Liaison Officer.

Research interests focus on adaptive hypermedia, assistive technologies for the deaf and visually impaired, and e-commerce systems. Notable areas include personalization of learning technologies, digital sign language education, and hypermedia modeling. He has published over 25 refereed articles and actively participates in international conferences.

He received the 2004 Goldsmiths Award for excellence in teaching. Collaborations include the Royal National Institute for the Deaf (RNID) and ACCT, a charity supporting communication for disabled individuals. Current projects include assistive technologies for navigation systems and studies on deaf community safety.

His work spans academic roles, community engagement, and tech innovation in accessibility and education.
