James O. Pawelski, Ph.D., is a Professor at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Arts and Sciences, where he serves as Director of Education and Senior Scholar in the Positive Psychology Center and Adjunct Professor of Religious Studies. His work bridges philosophy, literature, and psychology to explore human flourishing.
Education:
- Doctorate in Philosophy (Fulbright Scholar)
Research Interests: Focus on positive psychology, the intersection of humanities and well-being, and applications of William James' philosophy. He leads the Humanities and Human Flourishing Project, a National Endowment for the Arts Research Lab.
Scientific Awards:

Leadership & Grants: Founded Penn's Master of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) program and served as founding executive director of the International Positive Psychology Association.
