James Loi Chun Han

Dr. James Loi Chun Han serves as a Lecturer in Law at Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus within the School of Foundation Studies. Holding a PhD from Swinburne University of Technology Australia, he previously coordinated law programs at another higher education institution before joining Swinburne, where he developed law units and served multiple terms as Program Coordinator for Foundation Studies. His institutional roles include Ethics Advisor, committee service on Behaviour Risk Assessment and Management, and Staff Recreation Club leadership.

Dr. Loi earned his LLB(Hons) from the University of London, MEd in Education Management from Open University Malaysia, and completed both his PhD and Graduate Certificate of Research and Innovation Management at Swinburne. His academic journey reflects a strong commitment to education management and legal scholarship.

His research critically examines shadow education (private supplementary tutoring) in Malaysia, analyzing its impact on student mental health and educational equity.
