Dr. James Kraft is an Associate Professor of Philosophy and Religion at Huston-Tillotson University. He teaches courses such as epistemology, philosophy of religion, logic, comparative religion, and science and religion. His research focuses on the intersection of religious knowledge, epistemological justification, and the implications of religious diversity and disagreement.

His research argues that self-reflection on religious beliefs under disagreement often reveals weak justifications, prompting humility and tolerance.
