James K. Stoller

James K. Stoller, MD, MS, is the Chair of the Education Institute at Cleveland Clinic and holds the Jean Wall Bennett Professorship in Emphysema Research at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and the Samson Global Leadership Academy Endowed Chair at Case Western Reserve University. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Weatherhead School of Management. Dr. Stoller has held leadership roles, including Associate Chief of Staff (2001-2005) and Vice Chairman of Internal Medicine (through 2007) at Cleveland Clinic.

Education: B.A. in Biochemistry and English (Amherst College, 1975), M.D. (Yale University, 1979), M.S. in Organizational Development (Case Western Reserve University, 2001). Training includes residencies in Internal Medicine and fellowships in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine (Brigham and Women's Hospital, Yale, and Massachusetts General Hospital).

Research interests focus on Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and leadership in healthcare organizations. His work bridges clinical pulmonary medicine and organizational development, emphasizing translational research and institutional education.
