معرفی
James Innes is a Researcher at the Faculty of Engineering & Digital Technologies, University of Bradford, specializing in elastomer recycling, thermoplastic vulcanizates, and sustainable materials. His work focuses on solving industrial challenges related to rubber recycling (including tyres, seals, and shoe soles) and developing printable polymer blends through collaborations with academic and industrial partners.
- PhD in polymer science from University of Manchester (National Graphene Institute)
- Expertise in mechanical testing, rheology, Raman spectroscopy, SEM, AFM, and chemical extraction
Research interests center on devulcanization, revulcanization, and polymer nanocomposites, with a strong emphasis on closed-loop recycling and circular economy principles. His recent publications highlight innovations in solid-state processing techniques and graphene-based material characterization.
He has secured a £1m Low Carbon Manufacturing grant and is developing new fellowship proposals for advanced rubber recycling technologies.
