James Hall is a Lecturer in the School of Arts and Humanities at Edith Cowan University (ECU). He coordinates the Bachelor of Media and Communications program (W63) and teaches courses including SAH1100 (Communicating Ideas), SAH1200 (Media and Culture), and CMM1124 (Media and Nation). His research focuses on cultural studies, internet culture, and media dynamics, with notable work analyzing the Pepe the Frog meme's political implications and the role of podcasting in fan communities around the reality TV show Survivor. Hall holds a Master of Communications (2008) and a Bachelor of Communication with Honours (2001), both from ECU.
