Dr. James Dedrick is a Senior Lecturer at the University of York, affiliated with the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology. His research focuses on low-temperature plasma science, plasma propulsion, and atmospheric-pressure plasma applications. He holds a PhD from The Australian National University and has been recognized with the Australia Award Endeavour Research Fellowship (2013).
Research Interests: His work explores plasma-surface interactions, plasma chemistry, and advanced plasma diagnostics. Notable areas include negative ion production on diamond surfaces, reactive species generation in biomedical plasmas, and plasma propulsion system optimization.
Grants & Projects: He leads or co-investigates EPSRC-funded projects such as 'A research facility for advancing the frontier of plasma-enabled semiconductor manufacturing' and 'EPSRC IAA: Enhancing control of nanoscale manufacturing processes via the simulation of electronegative molecular plasmas.'
