James Cox is a Professor in the Department of Economics at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, Georgia State University. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University and specializes in Experimental Economics and Applied Microeconomic Theory. His research focuses on behavioral experiments and theoretical modeling in areas like trust, reciprocity, public goods, and healthcare decision-making.

Research Interests: Cox investigates topics such as risk preferences, social dilemmas, and the integration of portfolio choice with consumer demand theories. His recent work includes collaborative studies with surgeons on hospital discharge decisions and organ transplantation. He has been funded by the National Science Foundation and NIH.
