Dr. Tommaso Reggiani is an Associate Professor (Reader) in Economics at Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University, where he coordinates the CARBS Behavioural Research Group. He holds research affiliations with IZA-Bonn (Research Fellow), Masaryk University (Research Associate), and UNESCO Inclusive Policy Lab (Economics Expert). Previously, he held academic positions at Toulouse School of Economics, University of Cologne, and LUMSA University.
His education includes a PhD in Economics from the University of Bologna, an MA from the University of Milan-Bicocca, and visiting research at the University of Bonn. His research examines behavioral and experimental economics, public economics, and ethics, focusing on prosocial behavior, incentive systems, and decision-making processes in social and organizational contexts.
Reggiani's work explores the intersection of economic incentives with psychological and social factors, particularly in:
- Prosocial behavior and organizational ethics
- Public goods provision and collective action dilemmas
- Labor market discrimination and policy interventions
- Digital platform economies and charitable giving mechanisms
- Experimental methodologies in behavioral research
He currently supervises four PhD students and has led multiple research grants including:

- Interdisciplinary research on economic decision-making and ritualized behavior
- Field experiments examining housing effects on preferences
