James Bodle is a Professor in the Department of Psychology within the School of Behavioral Sciences at Mount St. Joseph University. He teaches courses in cognition and memory, human development, sensation and perception, and core curriculum, including a co-taught travel course examining United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in New York City.

His research centers on memory mechanisms, with documented expertise in aging and memory, storytelling and memory, and group influences on memory. Current work involves collaboration with Dr. Tracy McDonough on the Schizophrenia Oral History Project, exploring memory phenomena in psychiatric contexts through oral history methodologies.
