James Anthony Churchill

Dr. James Anthony Churchill is a Specialist Urologist & Robotic Surgeon and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). He practices at the Urology Centre Port Macquarie and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney, focusing on rare urological cancers. He completed Fellowship training in Urologic Oncology at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester, with expertise in robotic surgery via the Da Vinci platform.

He is a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of New South Wales School of Clinical Medicine and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education (PGDip Clin Ed) from the University of Edinburgh. His research interests include urology and surgical education, with 32 journal articles and 10 conference papers. He has received scientific awards for international conference presentations.

Dr. Churchill advocates for clinician leadership and medical education, serving in roles such as Director of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Trainees Association and Chair of the AMA Council of Doctors in Training. He is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and holds additional qualifications in surgical training leadership.
