Jakob Grubbström is employed as Director Musices at Linköping University, overseeing Musicum and the university's music activities. He leads Linköpings studentsångare and Östgöta kammarkör as conductor and artistic leader. With an MMus from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, an MA from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, and an MEd from Piteå's School of Music, he brings extensive expertise in choral conducting and music education.
Previously, he freelanced with choirs like Stockholm Chamber Choir and taught at Adolf Fredriks Musikklasser. He founded the choral department at Framnäs folkhögskola in 2019. His work includes organizing Academic Celebrations for the university's semi-centennial and contributing to the Billboard-charting album *Skeletá* by Ghosts.
Grubbström is part of the Communications and Marketing Division (KOM), focusing on university branding and events. His roles emphasize artistic leadership, music coordination, and cultural engagement within academic contexts.
