Jake Friedman is a Graduate Student and CO150 Instructor at Colorado State University's Department of English within the College of Liberal Arts. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing with a focus on Poetry. His work emphasizes documentary modes, drawing from research and textual sources, currently focusing on a critical history of 19th-century U.S. Westward Expansion. Friedman has received notable recognition, including the Galway Kinnell Memorial Scholarship, NEA grant participation, and poetry awards.

Research interests include American Literature, creative writing pedagogy, and historical documentation through poetry.
