Jaime Warburton is an Associate Professor and Writing Major Coordinator in the Department of Writing at Ithaca College's School of Humanities and Sciences. She holds an M.F.A. in Writing from Sarah Lawrence College and a B.A. in Writing from Ithaca College (summa cum laude), with minors in Women's Studies and Honors. Warburton coordinates the Writing Internship Program and serves on multiple committees including the Faculty Handbook Amendment Committee.
Her research explores poetry, literary theory, fan studies, and social justice, with specialized focus areas in fandom communities, gender studies, and digital identity negotiation. She teaches diverse courses spanning Academic Writing, Poetry Writing, Creative Writing, Women and Writing, and specialized seminars on fantasy/fandom and social justice poetry.
Warburton has received the Thomas Lux Grant for teaching and writing excellence, was nominated as a Best Emerging Poet, and earned a CFRD fellowship. She advises student groups like Spit That! and IC Pagan Community, and previously directed the Ithaca Young Writers Institute (2016-2022) and Ithaca College Writing Center (2016-2021).
