Jaime W. Hunt

Dr. Jaime W. Hunt is a Lecturer in Linguistics at the University of Newcastle, Australia, within the Pathways and Academic Learning Support Centre. His research focuses on language contact, heritage languages, sociolinguistics, and language policy, particularly within German-speaking communities in Australia. Hunt holds a PhD and multiple master’s degrees from the University of Newcastle and the University of New England.

Teaching: Coordinates Linguistics courses in the Open Foundation program, including Language in Society and Foundations of Linguistics. Previously taught courses at the Bachelor and Master levels in the former School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
