Jade Salim

Dr. Jade Salim serves as Head of the School of Sport, Exercise and Applied Science (SSEAS) and a Senior Lecturer in Sport Psychology at St Mary's University. She holds a BSc (2011) and PhD (2015) in Sport Psychology from Roehampton University. Her research focuses on sport injury-related growth mechanisms, including interventions like gratitude practices and emotional disclosure, as well as student experiences in higher education, particularly among Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities.

Dr. Salim emphasizes student-centered teaching, leveraging her background in elite gymnastics and coaching to foster resilience and open-door mentorship. She actively supports students both academically and personally, prioritizing holistic development. Her conference presentations span teaching methodologies and applied sport psychology, including sessions on injury recovery frameworks and inclusive student support systems.
